1 Killed, 15 Injured in Train Crash Near Barcelona Due to Collapsed Wall

Barcelona: At least one person was killed and around 15 others were injured when a passenger train crashed into a collapsed retaining wall near Barcelona in eastern Spain. Catalan emergency services have been actively working at the scene, treating the injured with the help of 11 ambulances.

According to Qatar News Agency, spokesperson for the fire service in the northeastern region of Catalonia, Claudi Gallardo, reported that four individuals sustained serious injuries. The emergency response teams have been diligent in their efforts to provide immediate medical assistance to those affected by the accident.

The accident comes at a time when the country is still dealing with the aftermath of Sunday's high-speed train collision in Andalusia, in the south, which resulted in the deaths of at least 40 people.
