The 10th Arab-China Business Conference started here on Sunday, with the participation of 150 speakers and 3,000 decision-makers from 23 countries.
Addressing the two-day event, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah said: "The conference is an opportunity to strengthen and consolidate the historical Arab-Chinese friendship, build a common future that takes us on a new era that will benefit peoples and maintain peace and development in the world," He added that this conference underlines the great importance, potential, compatibility, and common vision that underlies investment and trade relations between the Arab world and China, as well as enhances the exchange of expertise and the opening up of new opportunities for growth and investment in achieving prosperity and progress for the peoples of the region and the world.
The Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs explained that China is Arab countries' largest trading partner; the volume of trade exchange between the two sides reached USD 430 billion in 2022, a 31 percent increase over 2021.
10th Arab-China Business Conference will discuss topics that include the role of mega projects in rethinking future cities, as well as innovative ways to produce clean and renewable energy and reduce carbon emissions.
