Zagora: The Moroccan city of Zagora will host the 10th edition of the international festival of storytelling and popular arts from April 16 to 20. This cultural event will bring together storytellers, artists, and folklore groups from Morocco and countries including Mexico, Bologna, Bulgaria, Spain, France, Italy, and Turkiye.
According to Qatar News Agency, the festival will offer a mix of individual and group storytelling and folk art performances. Special events for children are also planned to foster creativity, alongside workshops focusing on physical expression and storytelling.
A scientific seminar titled "Heritage and Cultural and Creative Industries" will feature academics and university researchers, exploring the intersection of heritage with cultural and creative industries. This seminar is a part of the festival's broader aim to engage with heritage-related topics.
The festival will begin with an artistic carnival, showcasing local and international art groups in a parade through the city's streets. The program will honor local and international artists and include events across the city's squares, oasis villages, and an open-air park platform.
