Doha: The 11th Gulf Quality Conference is scheduled to commence in Doha on Wednesday, co-organized by the Gulf Consultant and Quality Center and the Qatar Chamber (QC). The event was announced during a press conference where QC Acting General Manager Ali Bu Sharbak Al Mansori emphasized the QC's dedication to supporting initiatives that bolster economic growth. According to Qatar News Agency, Al Mansori described the conference as a significant platform for sharing experiences and knowledge among sectors and specialists worldwide. The conference will center on the critical role of quality in addressing rapid global changes and economic challenges, positioning quality as fundamental to the success and sustainability of companies. Al Mansori stressed that innovation is a crucial driver for achieving excellence and sustainable growth. Highlighting the private sector's commitment to quality and sustainability, Al Mansori noted that these standards are vital for sustainable economic development and fostering inn ovation across various sectors. The conference aims to raise awareness about the significance of adopting quality standards, enhancing efficiency, productivity, and ensuring business continuity and competitiveness. President of the Gulf Consultant and Quality Center, Mohamed bin Saleh Al Kuwari, expressed gratitude towards the QC for collaborating on the event, themed 'Quality and Innovation' and aligned with World Quality Day. Al Kuwari outlined the conference's focus on four main areas: international quality systems application, event sustainability standards, the role of business continuity systems in sustainable development, and innovation management system adoption. Al Kuwari also mentioned that the conference will evaluate government quality and excellence awards in the GCC, emphasizing their role in overcoming administrative challenges and achieving sustainability. The conference will explore how quality and excellence awards enhance performance in public and private sectors, the importance of the bu siness continuity system (ISO 22301:2019), and the event sustainability system (ISO 20121:2024) in promoting environmental care and efficient event execution. Additionally, it will focus on the quality system (ISO 56002:2019) as a tool for managing and nurturing innovation.
