Muscat: Twelve people lost their lives and others were reported missing due to heavy rains and floods in some governorates in the Sultanate of Oman. Oman News Agency reported the search and rescue sector of the National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM) as saying Sunday that 12 people lost their lives when their vehicles got swept away in gushing wadi waters. The dead included 11 citizens (2 adults and 9 pupils) and 1 expatriate in Samad A\'Shan area. Search is still going on for the other 5 missing citizens in the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi, it added.
