Gaza - Ma'an - Twelve citizens, including nine members of one family, were killed in Israeli airstrikes that targeted two homes in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City, and in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip. Palestinian Red Crescent paramedics confirmed that 9 martyrs from the Farhat family were recovered after an Israeli warplane targeted a residential apartment belonging to the family next to the market in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood in eastern Gaza. The martyrs were transferred to the Baptist Hospital in the city. Paramedics also recovered the bodies of three martyrs, including a child, in addition to a number of wounded, after the occupation aircraft bombed the house of the Al-Jamal family in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip. The victims were transferred to Al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat camp. As part of the ongoing escalation of the occupation, explosions resulting from Israeli artillery shelling were heard in various neighborhoods of Gaza City, coinciding with gunf ire from Israeli drones in the Al-Tawam area northwest of the city. The early hours of dawn also witnessed the recovery of the bodies of four martyrs, including a child, from under the rubble of a house belonging to the Al-Khalidi family in Al-Bureij camp, after it was targeted by an airstrike. Israeli raids continued around Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, while local sources reported that the bodies of dozens of martyrs were spread out in the streets of Jabalia camp, amid escalating artillery shelling and gunfire in several areas, including the vicinity of Al-Sikka Street in the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood in southeast Gaza. Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has continued, resulting so far in the martyrdom of 41,965 citizens and the injury of 97,590 others, including a large number of children and women, while rescue teams face great difficulties in reaching thousands of missing people under the rubble.
