The 13th edition of the Alexandria International Theater Festival "Theatre without Fund", which continues for seven days in the city of Alexandria, northern Egypt, kicked off.
The festival's activities are held, with the participation of performances from Arab and foreign countries, including Palestine, the Sultanate of Oman, Morocco, Iraq, Tunisia, Jordan, Kuwait, as well as Spain and Italy.
The opening of the festival witnessed the celebration of the centenary of the artist Sayed Darwish, where a short film about his life and excerpts from his musical works was shown.
It is worth noting that the Alexandria International Theater Festival, which was established in 2008, aims to focus on low-cost performances that rely mainly on the performance of actors. It encourages young people to provide serious work that is concerned with the exchange of cultures and rapprochement between peoples, Arab and international.
