Islamabad, At least 17 people were killed, and 23 others were injured, as a result of the heavy rainfall in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, northwestern Pakistan. Radio Pakistan, citing the country's National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), said that 16 homes were reported to have been completely destroyed, and 100 homes were partially destroyed. On April 16, the Pakistani authorities announced the death of 21 people and the injury of 32 others, including children and women, as a result of heavy rains in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwestern Pakistan. During the past year, Pakistan witnessed monsoon rainfall in quantities exceeding the usual rates, in addition to the unprecedented floods caused by the melting of ice in the north and south, which resulted in the death of more than 1,700 people, the displacement of millions, and the country inflicted on billions of dollars in losses.
