Two consecutive earthquakes with magnitudes ranging between 5.1 and 5.3 on the Richter scale struck the Kashmir region between India and Pakistan on Tuesday. The epicenter of the two earthquakes was at a depth of 20 km, Pakistan Meteorological and Geological Survey reported in a statement. There have bene no reports of casualties or material losses due to the earthquakes so far. Various parts of the Pakistani side of the disputed Kashmir region with India were hit by a violent earthquake in September 2019, killing 37 people and injuring over 579 others.
