Mastung: At least three Pakistani police officers were killed and 16 others wounded Tuesday in an explosion targeting a police truck in Mastung, Balochistan, western Pakistan.

According to Qatar News Agency, Pakistani police reported that the police vehicle was targeted in the Shamshabad area, wounding 16 Special Forces officers.

On April 16, Pakistani authorities also announced the killing of five people and the wounding of 14 others in an explosion near a passenger bus in western Pakistan.

Pakistani security forces and the army have been conducting security operations to pursue armed groups entrenched in the border mountains, whose elements target security and military checkpoints and residential areas.
