Doha: The Qatari Gulf Classic Car Association has announced that the 5th edition of the 2024 Luxury Classic Cars Contest and Exhibition will be held under the auspices of HE Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Qatar Museums Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al-Thani from Nov. 27 to Dec. 2, 2024, at Medina Centrale in the Pearl Island, with a Gulf participation. According to Qatar News Agency, Gulf Qatari Classic Cars Association, Board member and Secretary, Eng. Abdullatif Ali Alyafei, emphasized the importance of cooperation between the association and curators of this exhibition to ensure its success. He noted that the event comprises numerous surprises with a capacious space for the event double the previous edition. The event will feature a broader participation from owners of luxurious cars in Qatar and the GCC states, held under the supervision of the International Federation of Classic Cars (FIVA). Alyafei affirmed that the edition is extraordinary, with 50 percent of the participating cars belonging to Gulf owners. He highlighted that new cars will be participating for the first time based on the set conditions. Head of the partnerships and sponsorship department at Qatar Museums, Abdullah bin Ali Al Khater, highlighted that the competition has become a prominent annual event. He stated that it draws all car enthusiasts to highlight the history of classic cars in Qatar and promotes the culture of owning them as a community heritage.
