Oil prices fell on Wednesday, extending the previous day’s more than 4% plunge, amid concerns over lower global demand growth.
Brent crude futures for November fell 28 cents, or 0.4%, to $73.47 after dropping 4.9% in the previous session. US
The US dollar fell against most major currencies in Wednesday’s trading.
The dollar index, which measures the strength of the greenback against six major currencies, fell 0.3% to 101.4.
Against the Japanese yen, the dollar fell 0.9% to 144.22 yen
Gold prices on Wednesday fell to their lowest level in nearly two weeks, marking the fourth consecutive session of declines as markets adjusted to lower expectations for rate cuts at the US Federal Reserve’s upcoming policy meeting.
