2028 LA Olympics Organizing Committee Reveals Venues for Opening and Closing Ceremonies

Los Angeles: The LA Memorial Coliseum and SoFi Stadium will host the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Organizing Committee revealed that the opening ceremony, set for July 14, 2028, will be shared between the Memorial Coliseum and SoFi Stadium. This marks the first time the ceremony will be held in two different locations. The closing ceremony will take place on July 30 at the Coliseum.

The Committee Chair, Casey Wasserman, stated that the selected venues will highlight Los Angeles' rich sporting history and evolving future. The Paralympics Opening Ceremony is scheduled for August 15, 2028, at SoFi Stadium, while the closing ceremony will occur on August 27 at the Coliseum.

Los Angeles has previously hosted the Olympic Games in 1932 and 1984, but the 2028 event will mark the city's first Paralympic Games.
