Makkah Al-Mukarramah: The second edition of the Global Conference for Building Bridges Between Islamic Schools of Thought and Sects, organized by the Muslim World League, concluded in Makkah Al-Mukarramah. The event brought together prominent muftis, scholars, intellectuals, and representatives of senior scholars' councils, jurisprudential academies, and Islamic organizations from more than 90 countries.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the plenary session titled "Towards an Effective Islamic Coalition," participants underscored the importance of Muslim unity, addressing contemporary challenges, and safeguarding the supreme interests of the Islamic nation.

The conference featured five scientific sessions. The first session explored the historical foundations of the jurisprudence of differences in Islamic heritage. The second session examined the essential components and principles underpinning an Islamic coalition, as well as opportunities to strengthen it in the face of current challenges.

The third session focused on areas of cooperation among Islamic schools of thought, as outlined in the Building Bridges document, covering key aspects such as legal matters, humanitarian relief, scientific collaboration, and education. The fourth session addressed pressing issues facing the Islamic world, including the Palestinian cause, positive developments in Syria, the situation in Sudan, and the conditions of Muslim minorities.

The final session reviewed the progress of intra-Islamic dialogue, with participants emphasizing the need to enhance and expand meaningful discourse to foster greater unity and cooperation.
