Muscat: Omani Minister of Information and Chairman of the Main Committee of the Muscat International Book Fair Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Harrasi has announced the postponement of the fair's 30th edition, originally scheduled to convene from 26 March to 5 April 2026. The event will now be held at a later date to be announced in due course. According to Qatar News Agency, this decision follows a comprehensive assessment of current regional circumstances and the considerations they necessitate, reflecting the Committee's unwavering commitment to ensuring optimal conditions for this distinguished cultural gathering in a manner befitting its esteemed position as one of the most prominent cultural forums on both regional and international stages. The Omani Minister of Information further affirmed that the Main Committee attaches paramount importance to hosting the exhibition under exemplary organizational and logistical frameworks that guarantee the success of both the fair and its accompanying intellectual and cultural programs, while ensuring substantive and productive participation from local, Arab, and international publishing houses.
