Doha: The third edition of the Khalifa Squash Open has concluded. Organized by the Qatar Squash Federation at the Khalifa International Squash Complex over the course of a week, the tournament featured a wide participation of male and female players from various age groups.
According to Qatar News Agency, in the professional category, Ali Al Darwish won the title, while Mohammed Aslam finished second. In the under-17 youth category, Ali Darwish won first place, while Mohammed Al-Khalaf finished second.
In the men's "A" category, Ali Mansour won the title, ahead of Ali Al Dorani, who finished second. In the women's category, Jessie Bazley excelled and won the title, while Shaden Al Sayed finished second.
In the remaining competitions, Junaid Mansour won first place in the under-11 boys' category, while Yousef Al Tamimi finished second. In the under-13 category, Mohammed Al Tamimi won the title, ahead of Hamad Al Riyahi, who finished second. In the under-15 category, Saleh Khalifa took first place, while Ibrahim Akhtar finished second. In the over-45 category, Youssef Al Malki clinched the title, while Ahmed Mandour finished second.
In a statement following the honoring of the winning players, the tournament director Saad Al Mohannadi praised the outstanding performance and wide participation, which reflected the development of squash in Qatar. He emphasized that this edition represents a further step towards supporting talent and strengthening the local and international presence, especially for Qatari players.
