An earthquake measuring 4.7 magnitude on the Richter scale struck Wednesday south of the Kermadec Islands off the coast of New Zealand. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km. No tsunami warnings were issued, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported. No reports of material damage or human losses due to the earthquake so far.
