An earthquake measuring 5.1 magnitude on the Richter scale struck Cundinamarca Province, central Colombia. The US Geological Survey (USGS) said that the epicenter of the earthquake occurred 54 km from the municipality of Mosquera, located in the province, and at a depth of 34.4 km. There have been no reports of human losses or material damage as a result of the earthquake so far. In 1999, a 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck Colombia, leaving 1,185 people killed, 4,750 injured and 700 missing, and about 250,000 displaced. Source: Qatar News Agency
