An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 on the Richter scale jolted the northeast coastline of the Greek Aegean Sea:argest city in Greece, and it is likely that residents in wide areas of Greece and some neighboring countries felt the earthquake, Athens Institute of Geodynamics reported. According to Qatar News Agency, the institute added that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 15.9 km, noting that a tremor with a magnitude of 4.2 was recorded four minutes later, along with several smaller aftershocks. So far, there have been no preliminary reports of damage or injuries resulting from the earthquake, and no tsunami warnings have been issued. Additionally, the institute highlighted that authorities may need a few hours to conduct thorough assessments, especially in remote areas, while aftershocks are likely to occur in the days ahead.
