A 5.4-magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale struck on Thursday Tonga Islands located in the South Pacific. The US Geological Survey (USGS) said that the earthquake occurred 275 km west of Houma, at a depth of 389.9 km. There have been no reports yet of human losses or material damage as a result of the earthquake. Tonga is an archipelago with 176 islands scattered in the South Pacific, of which only 52 inhabited. It is located in northwest of New Zealand and Australia. Source: Qatar News Agency
