6.0-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Greek Island of Kasos

Kasos: An earthquake measuring 6.0 magnitude struck the Greek island of Kasos early on Wednesday.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Athens Geodynamic Institute said in a statement that the epicenter of the earthquake was located 19 km west of Kasos island.

There have been no reports of casualties or material damage due to the earthquake. Greece lies within an active seismic zone, where strong earthquakes periodically occur, particularly along its eastern coastline.
