West papua: A 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck West Papua, Indonesia, earlier on Thursday, with no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
According to Qatar News Agency, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) said the quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.
Indonesia frequently experiences regular earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, as it lies along the Pacific Ring of Fire, a geologically active zone where several tectonic plates converge.
