Oregon: An earthquake measuring 6.0 magnitude on the Richter Scale hit off the West Coast of the United States. According to Qatar News Agency, the quake jolted 280 km west of Bandon in the US state of Oregon, at a depth of 10 km. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage following the seismic event. The US National Tsunami Warning Center stated that a tsunami was not expected as a result of the earthquake. The region affected by the quake is part of a larger network of fault lines known as the Pacific Ring of Fire, which is situated around the world's largest ocean.
