The Turkish authorities were able to rescue 71 illegal immigrants in the Aegean Sea, west of the country. The Turkish Coast Guard Command said in a statement that the migrants were rescued off the coast of Datca district, in the western province of Mugla, on board five rubber lifeboats. The statement noted that among the rescued migrants were 11 children, adding that the migrants were handed over to the state immigration department. The Turkish authorities constantly announce arrests of illegal immigrants and rescue operations for refugees as they attempt to reach Europe, which has become almost daily. Source: Qatar News Agency
