Baghdad: Iraqi security forces issued a statement on Tuesday announcing that they have conducted preemptive operations in multiple regions across Al Anbar Governorate. The operations resulted in the apprehension of eight militants from ISIS remnants in Rawa, Al Qaim, and Al Rutba districts in the west of the country.

According to Qatar News Agency, backed by air raids, the Iraqi security forces conducted persistent inspection campaigns against the remnants of ISIS in remote and mountainous regions in the governorates of northeastern and western Iraq.
