Doha: The 14th edition of the Katara Holy Quran Memorization Competition continues at the Katara Grand Mosque and the Golden Mosque, with sessions held daily after the Asr prayer. The competition hosts 89 students, comprising 60 male and 29 female participants, organized into 8 groups. One of these groups is specifically for students who have memorized 20 chapters of the Holy Quran. According to Qatar News Agency, the training of participants is overseen by a distinguished team of 5 male and 3 female trainers who possess high levels of expertise and proficiency in Quran memorization. These trainers are dedicated to teaching the principles of recitation and intonation, with an emphasis on mastering memorization and understanding the meanings of the verses. In this context, the trainers have expressed their satisfaction with the exceptional performance demonstrated by the students in both memorization and recitation. They commended the students' eagerness to enhance their Quranic skills and highlighted that t he competition serves as a valuable opportunity to instill a love for the Holy Quran in young hearts and strengthen their connection to it as a way of life. Parents of the participants have also conveyed their appreciation to Katara and the competition organizers, noting the positive impact on their children's discipline, commitment, and spiritual development.
