Ramallah - Ma'an - The Commission of Prisoners' Affairs and the Prisoners' Club said that the Israeli occupation forces have arrested more than 9,750 citizens from the West Bank, including Jerusalem, since the beginning of the ongoing war of extermination and comprehensive aggression against our people. The Commission and the Prisoners Club explained, in a joint statement today, Sunday, that this toll includes those who were arrested from their homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage. During the past two days, the occupation forces arrested at least 26 citizens from the West Bank, including the student Ibtihal Al-Amer, the daughter of the imprisoned journalist Nawaf Al-Amer, in addition to the arrest of the journalist Hamza Jaber and former prisoners. The arrests were distributed across most of the West Bank governorates. During the arrest campaigns, the occupation continues to carry out extensive raids and abuse, se vere beatings, and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to extensive acts of vandalism and destruction in citizens' homes. It is noteworthy that these arrest campaigns constitute the most prominent fixed and systematic policies used by the occupation forces, and they are also among the most prominent tools of the policy of (collective punishment), which also constitutes a central tool for the occupation in targeting citizens, in light of the comprehensive aggression against our people, and the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
