Doha: The ninth round of the Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour for the 2025-2026 season kicks off on Thursday. Organized by the Qatar Equestrian and Modern Pentathlon Federation in partnership with Al Shaqab (a member of Qatar Foundation), the three-day event will take place at the Longines outdoor arena in Al Shaqab.
According to Qatar News Agency, the dressage competitions will be held on the third day at the Qatar Equestrian Federation's indoor arena, with a large number of riders participating. The competition program begins tomorrow at 5:00 PM with the Amateur round at a height of 100 cm, followed by the Silver round at 7:30 PM at a height of 130 cm.
The competitions continue on Friday, with the Future Riders round for the 6-12 age group, jumping at a height of 70 cm at 3:00 PM. This will be followed by the Open round at 110 cm at 5:30 PM, and then the Golden Round for individual and team jumps at 140 cm at 7:30 PM.
On the third day of the ninth round, the dressage competitions (preliminary tests) will be held at the indoor arena of the Qatar Equestrian Federation next Saturday. The preliminary tests will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by the Level 2 dressage competitions, and then the Level 1 competitions.
The third day of the ninth round also features the FEI World Equestrian Federation (FEI) Challenge (Category A) Youth Olympic Games qualifiers, consisting of two rounds. The first round is untimed, while the second is a timed competition, held in the outdoor arena at Al Shaqab.
This is followed by the Future Riders competition for the 12-16 age group at a height of 90 cm, then the Bronze Round for individual and team competitions at 120 cm. The round concludes with the Diamond Round at a height of 150 cm.
