Bethlehem - Together - The United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Tor Wensland, condemned the massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces by bombing the tents of displaced persons in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, resulting in the death and injury of dozens of Palestinians. In a statement, Wensland called for 'a comprehensive and transparent investigation into this incident, holding those responsible accountable for any violations, and taking immediate steps to better protect civilians.' He said: "I am deeply concerned about the killing of many women and children in an area where people have taken refuge," reiterating the call for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
