Doha: Acting General Manager of Qatar Chamber (QC) Ali Bu Sherbak Al Mansouri affirmed that social responsibility has become a fundamental pillar of sustainable development and an essential element in building a strong economy and a cohesive society. He highlighted Qatar's leading achievements in this field, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 (QNV 2030), which laid the foundations for sustainable development across its economic, social, and environmental dimensions.
According to Qatar News Agency, this statement came during QC's participation in the 7th edition of the Forum of the Most Influential Arab Personalities in the Field of Social Responsibility 2025, organized by the Regional Network for Social Responsibility and held virtually on Monday. The forum, held under the title 'Edition of HE Sheikha Hessa bint Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Thani,' witnessed broad participation from a distinguished group of influential Arab figures in the field of social responsibility.
Al Mansouri explained that Qatar has adopted numerous advanced policies and legislations that have strengthened the role of both the public and private sectors in serving society, supporting sustainability initiatives, environmental protection, and human capital development. He further noted that Qatar has emerged regionally and internationally as a key supporter of humanitarian and development efforts, enabling education and healthcare, promoting innovation and environmental responsibility, and encouraging companies to adopt governance, social responsibility, and transparency standards.
He also stressed Qatar Chamber's keenness to promote a culture of social responsibility within the private sector and to encourage companies to adopt responsible practices that contribute equally to economic, social, and environmental development. During the forum, the seventh edition of the Arab Professional Classification of the Most Influential Arab Personalities in the Field of Social Responsibility for 2025 was launched, in accordance with its four honourary and professional categories.
The list of the most influential personalities in the honourary category included HE Vice-Chairman of the Qatar International Center for Conciliation and Arbitration and International Ambassador for Social Responsibility Sheikh Dr. Thani bin Ali Al-Thani, and Acting General Manager of Qatar Chamber Ali Bu Sherbak Al Mansouri. The forum also witnessed the launch of the seventh edition of the book 'The Most Influential Arab Personalities in the Field of Social Responsibility 2025', which includes the personalities selected within the Arab professional classification and supervised by the Regional Network for Social Responsibility.
