London: Advisor to the Prime Minister and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari, affirmed the importance of the state visit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HH Consort of HH the Amir Sheikha Jowaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al-Thani to the United Kingdom (UK) at the invitation of HM King Charles III, in enhancing relations between the two nations. According to Qatar News Agency, Dr. Al Ansari emphasized during the weekly media briefing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that HH the Amir's visit is a testament to the robust ties between Qatar and the UK. The royal reception at Buckingham Palace by HM King Charles III and HM Queen Camilla highlighted Qatar's esteemed status in the UK. He further stated that this visit marks a significant milestone in fortifying strategic relations and underscores the mutual commitment to enhancing cooperation across various sectors. HH the Amir's itinerary includes meetings with senior UK officials to explor e avenues for collaboration. Dr. Al Ansari mentioned that the accompanying delegation comprises several high-profile Qatari officials, including HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, and other key ministers. He also noted HH the Amir's recent visits to the UK, including attending King Charles III's coronation and the funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth. In another context, Dr. Al Ansari highlighted HH the Amir's leadership role at the Gulf Cooperation Council's 45th regular session in Kuwait, where the presidency was transferred to Kuwait. He underscored Qatar's achievements during its presidency, such as the launch of the GCC Regional Security Vision and the first GCC-EU summit.
