AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers Draw Sets Stage for Competitive Matches

Kuala Lumpur: The AFC Women's Asian Cup Australia 2026 Qualifiers draw took place at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Thursday. The draw has organized 34 teams into six groups of four and two groups of five. The qualifiers will be hosted by eight countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Jordan, Myanmar, Tajikistan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.

According to Qatar News Agency, the eight group winners from these qualifiers will secure their spots in the Finals, joining defending champions China PR, along with Korea Republic and Japan. The Finals are scheduled to occur across three host cities from March 1 to 26, 2026, bringing together some of the best teams in Asian women's football for a highly anticipated tournament.

The draw results are as follows: Group A features the Islamic Republic of Iran, Jordan (host), Lebanon, Singapore, and Bhutan. Group B includes Thailand (host), India, Mongolia, Timor-Leste, and Iraq. Group C consists of Myanmar (host), Bahrain, Bangladesh, and Turkmenistan. Group D sees Chinese Taipei, Indonesia (host), Kyrgyz Republic, and Pakistan.

In Group E, Vietnam (host) will compete against Guam, the United Arab Emirates, and the Maldives. Group F includes Uzbekistan (host), Nepal, Laos, and Sri Lanka. Group G comprises the Philippines, Hong Kong, China, Cambodia (host), and Saudi Arabia. Finally, Group H includes DPR Korea, Malaysia, Palestine, and Tajikistan (host).

The qualifiers are set to be an exciting series of matches as teams vie for the coveted spots in the 2026 Finals.
