AFCON: Senegal and DR Congo Defeat Botswana and Benin

Morocco: Senegal defeated Botswana 3-0 in Group D of the 35th edition of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco. Senegalese goals were scored by Nicholas Jackson, who netted twice in the 40th and 58th minutes, and Cherif Ndiaye, who secured the final goal in the 90th minute. This victory positions Senegal at the top of Group D with three points and three goals, leaving Botswana without any points.

According to Qatar News Agency, in the same group, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) defeated Benin 1-0 with a goal scored by Theo Bongonda in the 16th minute. This win gives DRC three points and places them second in the group. Benin, having zero points, is set to face Botswana next Saturday. Meanwhile, Senegal will meet Congo in a crucial match to determine the top position in the group.
