African Atlantic countries agree to enhance partnership for prosperity

The third ministerial meeting of the Atlantic African States Process (AASP) concluded on Wednesday in the Moroccan capital.

The meeting released "Rabat Declaration II", which affirms the political commitment of member states to develop their partnership with the aim of enhancing cooperation and integration among the African Atlantic Countries to strengthen peace, stability and prosperity in the region.

According to MAP, the importance of the strategic priorities of the action plan to support integration and common development in the region has been emphasized. These priorities include the organization of ports, the fight against pollution, the blue economy and clean tourism.

In his statement, Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, highlighted the importance of combining efforts and establishing partnerships with other cooperation initiatives for countries in the South and North of the Atlantic Ocean, including the United States initiative to enhance cooperation in the Atlantic Ocean.

The aim of this process is to enable these African countries to benefit from the opportunities and face the challenges in the region.
