Air Traffic Resumes at Aleppo International Airport

Aleppo: The Syrian General Authority of Civil Aviation and Air Transport has announced that air traffic at Aleppo International Airport will resume starting next Tuesday.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Authority stated in a recent announcement that it remains committed to enhancing services at the airport to improve the travel experience for passengers. The focus will be on developing these services in a way that aligns with the expectations of the people of Aleppo and all Syrians.

Previously, on January 6, the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Air Transport had suspended all flights to and from Aleppo International Airport for 24 hours due to security disturbances in the city. This suspension was later extended for two weeks as security conditions worsened. The decision to suspend operations was driven by concerns for the safety of passengers and flight crews. During this period, flights were redirected to Damascus International Airport while necessary technical and security evaluations were conducted.
