Air Travel in France Surpasses Pre-Pandemic Levels

Paris: Air travel in France has surpassed pre-pandemic levels for the first time, according to figures released Monday by the Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGAC).

According to Qatar News Agency, the agency reported 183 million passenger trips to and from French territory on commercial flights in 2025, a 2.8 percent increase from the previous year and 1.9 percent higher than the record set in 2019.

International traffic accounted for 85 percent of total passengers last year, exceeding its 2019 level by 7.3 percent.

Domestic travel, however, continued to lag. The number of passengers on internal routes fell 1.5 percent between 2024 and 2025 and remained 20.9 percent below its pre-pandemic level.
