Al Ahli beat Al Wakra 30/20 Tuesday, in a postponed match from the second round of the Qatari Men's Handball League. The first half ended with Al Ahli leading 17/13 before moving further away in the second half and clinching the victory in its favor by a difference of ten goals. With this victory, Al Ahli raised its score to 13 points to advance to third place behind Al Rayyan and Al Duhail, while Al Wakrah, suffered its sixth consecutive loss, now has 6 points in tenth place. The league was suspended after the 7th round for the Qatari national team to leave for an external camp in Serbia in preparation for the 29th Men's World Championship, scheduled to be held in Croatia, Denmark and Norway from Jan. 14 to Feb. 2, 2025. Al Rayyan won the Men's Handball League title last season 2023/2024, while Al Arabi came in second place, and Al Duhail came in third place.
