Doha: Qatar's Al Arabi SC has officially announced the signing of Cameroonian forward Karl Toko Ekambi from Saudi Arabia's Al Fateh SC, without disclosing the duration of the contract.
According to Qatar News Agency, Al Arabi SC will register Ekambi on its foreign players list in place of Jordanian Yazan Al Naimat, who suffered a cruciate ligament rupture while representing his national team at the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025.
Leaving France's Olympique Lyon, Ekambi started playing in Saudi Arabia in August 2023, for the Abha Club. He then moved to Al Ettifaq in January 2024, before transferring to Al Fateh SC in October.
During his time in the Saudi Pro League, the Cameroonian striker scored seven goals with various clubs, in addition to three goals in the Saudi King's Cup.
