Doha: Al Gharafa SC clinched the title of the second edition of the U-18 Girls Basketball League for the 2024-2025 sports season after a thrilling 60-59 victory over Hoops Academy in the final held at the Qatar Basketball Federation arena.

According to Qatar News Agency, the match saw both teams exchanging control throughout the game, with Al Gharafa securing the win by a single point in the closing moments, thanks to a strong team performance and high competitive spirit.

This season's U-18 Girls League featured strong participation from four teams - Hoops Academy, Awsaj Academy, Al Gharafa, and Fame Sports Academy - adding a highly competitive edge to the tournament and contributing to the growth of basketball among youth.

An official awards ceremony for the winners of both the Women's and Girls' Leagues is scheduled for May 20, during which standout players and teams will be honored. The event reflects the Qatar Basketball Federation's growing commitment to supporting women's sports and nurturing young talent through professionally organized competitions.
