Doha: The Arab Handball Federation (AHF) revealed that Al Gharafa will be the second team representing Qatar in the 39th Arab Handball Championship of Champions held in Kuwait from 15 to 25 September. The team will be joining Al Ahli in representing Qatar in the championship. The clubs competing in the championship are Al Ahli and Al Gharafa (Qatar), Kuwait SC, Al Qadisiyah and Al Salmiya (Kuwait), Al Hashd and Al Karkh (Iraq), Mudhar and Al Hada (Saudi Arabia), Mleeha (United Arab Emirates), National Bank of Egypt SC (Egypt), MCBBA and Olympique El Oued (Algeria), and Shabab Al Qaten and Al Shula (Yemen). Kuwait SC won the last edition held in Saudi Arabia in 2023 after beating Egypt's Zamalek SC. Qatar's Al Rayyan won the 21st edition of the championship in Sharjah back in 2000, while Al Gharafa won the 35th edition in Amman in 2019. Source: Qatar News Agency
