Al rayyan: Al Rayyan coach Artur Jorge and Al Shamal coach David Prats spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 13 match, slated for Saturday.

According to Qatar News Agency, Al Rayyan coach said: "We understand the importance of this match after what happened in the first leg. Al Shamal are one of the best teams and are competing for the league title, so this is a crucial match to recover the three points we lost in the first leg." He added: "We are ready for this match and have prepared thoroughly. With enthusiasm and focus, we must secure the three points. We do not accept the word 'pressure' especially since we know the role required of us."

"The responsibility is greater on the team, and every match and every three points have an impact. We need to win to maintain our lead over Al Shamal," said Artur Jorge.

For his part, Al Shamal coach said: "Once again, we will face one of the best teams in the league, a team boasting high-calibre players and a competent coaching staff." He continued, "It will certainly be a difficult match against Al Rayyan, who are currently enjoying a strong run of form and are looking to maintain it. However, we are also aiming for victory and the three points to make up for the points we dropped in the last two rounds."

"We are determined to give our best to get back on the winning track and maintain our position among the top teams in the league standings," said Prats.
