Al Rayyan Leads Men’s Handball League After Victory Against Al Gharafa

Al Rayyan: Al Rayyan maintained its lead in the Men's Handball League for the 2024-2025 sports season after defeating Al Gharafa 25-20 in Wednesday's match, part of the league's 13th round. According to Qatar News Agency, with this victory, Al Rayyan increased its tally to 37 points at the top of the standings, while Al Gharafa remains in sixth place with 25 points. In another match, Al Sadd triumphed over Qatar SC with a score of 32-19, bringing Al Sadd to 27 points in fifth place, while Qatar SC sits in eighth with 18 points. Additionally, Al Ahli defeated Al Shamal 22-18, raising Al Ahli's total to 28 points in fourth place, while Al Shamal remains in seventh with 19 points. The 13th round will conclude Thursday, with two matches: Al Khor will face Al Wakrah, and Al Arabi will compete against Al Duhail. Al Rayyan clinched the Men's Handball League title last season, with Al Arabi finishing second and Al Duhail in third. Al Rayyan holds the record for most league titles, winning 15 times, followed by A l Sadd with 9 titles, Al Duhail with 5, Al Ahli and Al Jaish with 4 each, Al Arabi and Qatar SC with 2 each, and Al Gharafa and Al Wakrah with 1 title each.
