Doha: Spanish coach Sergio Alegre of Al Sadd expressed his hope to secure a win against Umm Salal in the match set to take place Saturday, at Al Khor Club Stadium, as part of Round 7 of the Doha Bank Stars League. Alegre told media that the match against Umm Salal will certainly be tough, they've shown solid performances in all their games so far, except the last one against Al Shamal. They have experienced players and a seasoned coach. According to Qatar News Agency, Alegre added that they know they're not at their best right now, but they're confident it will be a very intense match, stressing that they must double their efforts and perform at their highest level to secure the three points. Alegre also expressed satisfaction with his team's performance against Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia in the AFC Elite Champions League, despite the loss. Umm Salal coach Patrice Carteron spoke to the media, saying: "The game would be difficult against one of the league's strongest teams, but also presents a significant chall enge for my team". "Of course, we can always perform better. But for me, the goal is to stay in the league, and we can still achieve that right now. I will do my utmost to help the club and the team reach this objective," said Carteron.
