Doha: Al Sailiya announced Wednesday that midfielder Mohamed Taabouni has suffered a tear in the outer ligament of his knee.

According to Qatar News Agency, the club stated that the player will undergo surgery in the coming period, which will rule him out of action for an estimated three to four months. His absence is a significant blow for Al Sailiya in the next phase of the season, as the team looks to improve its position in the league table.

Al Sailiya are 10th in the Doha Bank Stars League, with 11 points, and are preparing to face Al Shamal on Friday in matchday 14.
