Doha: Al Shamal SC has announced the signing of defender Abdulrahman Rashid from Al Wakrah SC. In a statement issued Tuesday, Al Shamal SC said that it has signed Rashid on a one-season loan deal, expressing hope that he will be a valuable addition to the team in the upcoming season.

According to Qatar News Agency, the sports club has already signed several players during the current summer transfer window, including Egypt's Al Ahly SC's Akram Tawfik and Spain's Real Betis' Alex Collado. Ranking 6th in the Qatar Stars League last season with 32 points, Al Shamal SC seeks to achieve better results in the upcoming season and to compete for higher positions with the help of their new recruits.
