Doha: Al Wakrah secured a significant victory over Qatar SC, winning by three sets to one, during their Saturday clash as part of the First Division of the Qatar Men's General Volleyball League for the 2025-2026 season. All matches took place at the Qatar Volleyball Association Hall, with participation from ten clubs.
According to Qatar News Agency, Al Wakrah clinched the match with set scores of 24-26, 25-19, 25-22, and 25-23. This win allowed them to maintain their top position in the league standings with a total of 22 points, seven points ahead of Police SC, who are in second place. Qatar SC holds the fifth position with 12 points.
In another match, Al Gharafa achieved their first victory of the season by defeating Al Shamal with a score of three sets to one. The set results were 26-24, 25-21, 22-25, and 25-16. This victory moved Al Gharafa to the ninth spot, just above Al Sadd, who are in tenth place with three points. Al Shamal remains in eighth place with six points.
Looking ahead, a single match is scheduled for Sunday between Al Sadd, who are last in the standings with no points, and Al Khor, who are positioned seventh with eight points.
