ALECSO Organizes Regional Seminar to Enhance Arab Universities’ Global Standing

Muscat: The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) held a regional symposium Wednesday to improve the universities in international rankings. The seminar was held at Muscat University, in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation in the Sultanate of Oman and the Omani National Commission for Education, Culture and Science.

According to Qatar News Agency, ALECSO stated that the seminar aims to study mechanisms for entering the Arab university rankings and university accreditation, in addition to advancing Omani universities by adopting strategies to enhance their reputation and obtain prestigious accreditations.

The seminar presents insights into Arab and international ranking systems and accreditation frameworks, providing universities with the necessary tools and procedures to enhance their reputation and raise their rankings by developing their scientific and educational methodologies and providing the scientific community with a broad, applicable scientific output that effectively contributes to addressing the challenges facing society.

Participants in the seminar will learn strategies that will enable them to align their institutions' practices with global standards while improving key areas of performance, such as the quality of academic work, the effectiveness of educational methodologies, and the impact of scientific research.
