Algiers: Algeria's Prime Minister, Sifi Ghrieb, has met the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva, to discuss ways of strengthening cooperation between Algeria and the IMF. Georgieva is on an official visit to Algeria.
According to Qatar News Agency, the talks focused on joint activities in the fields of finance, statistics, digitalization, and the rationalization of public spending. The two sides also discussed policies aimed at supporting economic development and diversifying Algeria's national economy.
Both sides underlined the importance of continuing close cooperation to address current economic challenges and to reinforce the foundations of stability and sustainable development at both regional and international levels.
