Algiers: Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf discussed Thursday with a senior UN official the latest developments in Libya amid ongoing efforts to help stabilize the country and preserve its sovereignty. During the meeting with UN Secretary-General's Special Representative and Head of the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Hana Tetteh, Minister Attaf was briefed on the steps outlined in the UN roadmap presented to the Security Council on August 21, which aims to prepare the legal framework for elections, unify executive institutions, and organize an inclusive national dialogue ahead of presidential and parliamentary elections.
