Doha: The Local Organizing Committee of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup Qatar 2025 announced that all preparations have been finalized to host the final three matches of the tournament. According to Qatar News Agency, during a press conference held at the Qatar National Convention Centre, the Local Organizing Committee confirmed that this edition is attracting wide attention from fans across the region and the world, reflecting the strong momentum the tournament has gained ahead of kickoff. The matches will be hosted at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium on Dec. 10, 13, and 17, during rest days of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025, once again highlighting the State's exceptional organizational capabilities and the high level of confidence it enjoys globally in hosting major international sporting events. In this context, Hassan Rabia Al Kuwari, the Executive Director of Marketing, Promotion and Commercial Affairs at the Local Organizing Committee, affirmed that the State of Qatar's commitment to hosting global tournaments ste ms from its continued efforts to elevate football at every level, from boosting competition in the Gulf region, uniting the Arab world through the Arab Cup, and supporting young talents, all the way to welcoming world champions at the Club Confederations Cup. He added that emphasizing the State of Qatar's readiness to host parallel world-class tournaments: hosting multiple events simultaneously highlights the efficiency of Qatar's operational system and reflects the sporting ambition and legacy that the country proudly upholds both regionally and internationally. Al Kuwari concluded by noting that ticket demand is strong for the match between Brazil's Flamengo and Mexico's Cruz Azul, and that a significant presence from both Brazilian and Mexican fans is expected. He added that special fan-oriented activities are being prepared to offer them an exceptional experience and to introduce them to the local and Arab culture. For his part, FIFA representative Roberto Grassi said that the State of Qatar is ready t o host the third tournament organized during this period, which serves as further confirmation of the strong partnership with the State of Qatar. He affirmed FIFA's confidence in Qatar's ability to host the world's top tournaments thanks to its world-class infrastructure. Grassi added that holding the tournament for the second consecutive year reaffirms the strong ties between FIFA and Qatar, enabled by Qatar's exceptional facilities and dedicated partners, and he pointed to the remarkable success achieved in delivering an outstanding organizational experience. The tournament organizers also announced that the Doha Metro will be free of charge for ticket holders of the final match on Dec. 17, which will feature Paris Saint-Germain against the winner of the FIFA Qatar 2025 Challenge Cup. The Doha Metro will provide comprehensive and direct access to Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium via Al Riffa Station on the Green Line throughout the tournament days. Event officials encouraged visiting international fans to take adv antage of the variety of cultural and entertainment activities available in Doha during their stay.
